After leaving school in July 2010, having obtained 3 A levels and 11 GCSEs, my original plan was to go to University. However after studying at Bournemouth University for 2 ½ months, I felt this was not the course I wanted to follow, not to mention my concern at my burgeoning student debt.
As soon as I left I started temporary work, to gain experience, and was informed that there was an employment opportunity at Cotswold Financial Planning under the Apprenticeship Scheme. I thought this would be a great career move and would enable me to gain further accreditation.
I have learnt a lot in the time I have been with Cotswold, especially on the mortgage side. I have enjoyed the interaction with clients: learning all about the mortgage process, from initial enquiry right the way through to completion.
I look forward to the Apprenticeship course, which will help to develop my administration skills and the understanding of a business environment. All of which will benefit my career at Cotswold.
