I started my financial services career with Guardian Royal Exchange in 1989, before joining a local IFA practice, where I spent 14 years advising mainly individuals and Company Directors.
It was towards the end of this period that I realised Financial Services had to change. Clients were being sold ‘products’, however I felt a responsibility to provide an ongoing service, which could be paid for without the need for a product sale.
With my clients' continued support, I introduced a fee-based proposition that enabled me to provide the service and support they deserve and have continued to grow and improve the programme ever since. This now includes technology-based solutions, offering client access to online valuations and information; and use of the award winning ‘Truth Financial Planning Software’, which is the bedrock of my financial planning ethos.
During this time I have also continued adding to my accreditation, achieving the Personal Finance Society Diploma (PFS). This demonstrates a high level of expertise with specialist knowledge of financial products, including detailed analysis of information and solutions to complex financial problems.
I will continue to improve the proposition for my clients and keep their best interests at the forefront of our business.
